     Prisons in the United States are filled with 2.3 million people. Every year, more than 700,000 are released. And within three years, more than 50 percent of them will be back in prison. A recent study by the Pew Research Center on the States reveals that one in 31 individuals are either in prison, on parole, or on probation. Despite spending over $68 billion dollars on corrections in 2008—a 300 percent increase over the last 20 years—the recidivism rate for those leaving prison remains unchanged over that time.

     The mission of the Freedom Transitional Centers is to reach out to prisoners and ex-prisoners with an opportunity to change their lives through Bible based life skills education and mentoring in a transitional living environment.

     The Freedom Transitional Centers is dedicated to helping men be the godly men God calls us to be. A godly man is a servant, not a slave master. Being a spiritual leader does not mean dominating your family. It means serving your family, and being a godly example to your wife and children.

     We provide men with resources to develop godly character, and to equip them to influence their world for Christ. Becoming a Christian is not a destination; it is the beginning of a life-long journey. Hopefully, this web site will help link us to men who need our help.
